Is this the last we'll see of Bobby?

In this microcosm of mobile games there are a few titles, dare I say brands, that you can rely to give pure made for mobile fun. Townsmen, Playman Sports and of course Bobby Carrot fall into this category. Each instalment for these games are bigger and better than their predecessors and naturally have a large and eager fan base behind them.

Bobby Carrot 5: Forever won't disappoint the fans, apart from this being the final chapter, 'Forever' continues the mantra of seek and you shall find with 30 levels of carrot hunting frustration. There's no getting around the fact that the game, in fact the whole series, will frustrate at least once per session. Completing the levels will take several attempts and you just have to dive straight in with both paws and see how the level pans out. Multiple retries and phone bashing is certain to ensue. But seeing as Bobby Carrot is still one of the most searched for phrases on our site, there must a lot of masochists getting their kicks from this and who are eager for the next instalment.

Looking over our previous reviews not a huge amount has changed from number 4. The graphics are a little sharper but the tractor, spikes, lilies and co are back. Bobby Carrot was never about revolutionising the genre with each new sequel but more about playing the next set of crazy levels from the creative minds at FDG. 'Forever' does include a few new tricks like the hang-glider and the bonus shop makes a welcome return.

While this may technically be the final version, extra level packs can be downloaded if you take the night train and collect enough coins and golden carrots. Hopefully the expansion packs will be a permanent feature and while we may not need a Bobby Carrot 6, extra levels are never a bad thing.

Bobby Carrot 5 is basically more of the same but when the originals were so good to begin with, we cannot complain too much. Fans of the earlier versions will no doubt have already bought this game and don't need to be told twice how good it is. If you've never heard of this before but enjoy puzzle games, Diamond Rush springs to mind, then give this a go and have a taste of a mobile game legend.
