Costas Stephanidess Review
More brain teasers from the coolest rabbit since Bugs
Bobby Carrot 3 is a very good puzzle game. The aim is to search each levels and find all the carrots/stars before you can progress to the next level.
The graphics are really good. The colours are bold and the animation of Bobby is top notch. You'll fall in love with the graphics as soon as start playing. The sight of a rabbit wearing a swimming mask collecting underwater carrots is worth the money alone.
The sound is ok, there's a nice little ditty during the game and with slight variations if you complete or fail the level, but nothing special.
The controls are simple enough. Movement is controlled by the D-pad for the one-thumbers or the key pad can be used for the more dexterous amongst you. Pushing the D-pad/5 button lets you look around the level without actually moving Bobby. This is for the hard core out there who want to plan every move and strategy. Personally, I'd rather use trial and error and maybe play each level a few times.
As well as stars (or are they carrots?) the levels also have padlocks, with their respective coloured keys, spikes which raise after you walk on them, pipes which change direction after you walk through, floating lilies to take you across to otherwise unreachable areas and a few switches for good measure. As you can see, there are lots to keep your mind ticking over.
In total there are 10 main levels each with 10 sub levels. Along with the bonus level (see hints), there are over 100 levels. At the end of each set of 10 levels, you are awarded a little section of wallpaper which is fully revealed after all 100 levels are completed. The game also records the time taken for each level as well as the number of moves taken. All in all, the longevity of the game is very impressive. A huge game with plenty of records to beat.
As far as know, Bobby Carrot 3 is currently only available in Germany. Maybe its worth getting that German SIM I always wanted.
