Help Bob with his bubbles.

Some iphone games are long drawn out intricate affairs with graphics which excel, complicated control systems and lengthy playing times. Bob the Bubble is none of these things. What it is, is a quick, fun to play and simple game.

Essentially you have to move Bob around the playing area using the touchscreen. You score points by collecting the blue bubbles that appear from a hole. They vary in size and last a while before they pop. Now red bubbles also come out of this hole and you don't want to collect these as they lose you points or stop your multiplier run.

If you manage to avoid the red bubbles, they will amalgamate to form a bigger bubble. If the buble gets big enough (i.e. if you don't pop it) then it will pop by itself to give you some added time. You also have a bomb thrown into the mix which counts down and which you have to avoid. Just stay out of it's blast radius and then you can scroll around collecting the blue bubbles.

The bubbles (both colours) will move towards where you press on the screen, so as you zip about, you will find the bubbles moving. To some degree they almost present a trail as to where you were, but the screen isn't really big enough for this to be that noticeable.

Certain bubbles will pop up and make Bob look a bit different, by giving him a wolly cap or glasses. These add to your score and make Bob look a bit more fun. That's really about it, there's a normal game and quick game option, but the normal game only has 3 minutes on the clock. I guess the strategy is to get the red bubbles to amalgamate and keep giving you extra time, but this is quite tricky and you only get an extra 5 or 10 seconds if memory serves.

A simple but fun game that probably will have you playing if you've only got a few minutes spare, but not one for a lengthy period of time.
