I'm not that good at iCopter

But some people are. Ridiculously good it seems. The leaderboard scores on OpenFeint are nuts. 52,000 on medium, and there I am getting about 4,000. In case you're wondering what the game is like, if you remember our review of Elfin Forest, then it's basically the same. Your copter goes from left to right and you have to avoid the obstacles.

Touching the screen causes the copter to rise. Letting go causes it to fall. That's about it really for the game, I'm sure you've played these sorts of games before. There are copters to unlock and achievements to achieve (crash 50 times, get a specific score with a particular copter etc).

The graphics for the background and obstacles really are pretty basic. It's green scenery with a black background. To some extent, they remind me of old C64 and Spectrum graphics. At least the copters (and there are some strange ones, a duck, a bird, superman, a blimp) look ok. They all have slightly different sounds too.

For me, anyway, as someone not really used to the iphone, the screen is hugely oversensitive. Any little touch and my copter flies upwards into the ceiling, or let go and it either smashes into the ground or an obstacle. I have just about mastered touching the screen lightly enough to skim above the ground, but if I try and do this at a higher level, I always crash.

This is about it really, it's a casual game and reasonably fun to play but the graphics are far too basic and the controls far too sensitive. For my fat fingers anyway.
