Today, DeNA, the Japanese mobile gaming giant, announced a tie-up with Namco Bandai Games Inc, bringing some hit game titles to a joint mobile venture.
Aimed to promote hit titles like Pac-man and Xevious, DeNA will offer four titles initially in its mobile portal, Mobage-Town, and then begin rolling out one game every month from there.
DeNA will also open a special dedicated section in Mobage-Town exclusively for Bandai mobile games.
DeNA and Namco also have plans to advance the partnership further, developing new game titles on Mobage-Town.
The partnership represents another key collaboration for DeNA, who has been making big moves in the gaming industry as of late. Notable investments include a partnership with Yahoo! Japan, the creation of a gaming VC fund and large investments in American gaming companies Aurora Feint and IceBreaker.
Mobage-Town, with 19 million subscribers, is the leading mobile gaming platform in Japan, offering over 400 games including top seller, Bandit Nation.
