Game Show Network’s CATCH 21 Goes Mobile with Cellufun

GSN, the premier television network for games, and Cellufun, the “world’s mobile playground” and ad-supported mobile games community, have announced a deal to bring the upcoming GSN game CATCH 21 to mobile gamers across the world. The deal is in association with WorldWinner, which currently hosts a free Flash game version of CATCH 21 on and AOL’s, as well as a cash competition version on, and a broad network of partner sites. The television version of CATCH 21 premieres tonight at 7:30PM E/6:30PM C on GSN.

GSN airs some of the most popular game show series and original game show content on TV today. CATCH 21, created by executive producer Merrill Heatter and executive produced by Scott Sternberg, comes to GSN with fast-action entertainment that blends pop trivia with the tension-filled excitement of the classic card game, 21.

Cellufun, whose award-winning games have contributed to its growth rate of over 500% in the last year, has 5 million unique users who consume more than 70 million page views every month.

Cellufun’s deal with GSN and WorldWinner represents the new paradigm in marketing a TV show with new media. Because of the participatory nature of the game, GSN will leverage the audience’s engagement with both the Web and their mobile handsets to promote the Catch-21 show.
