Best Puzzle Award

Puzzle games are always going to be around as they are easy to play and accessible to all ages. We love puzzles as much as the next person, but there is one member of our staff who thinks he's the puzzle king. So to get a more rounded view we locked him in a closet and tried to see if we could beat his scores. We couldn't so here are his selections.

Absolute Puzzle Deluxe

3 puzzle games for the price of one! Now that's a bargain in anyone's books! Some are more basic than others but there's plenty of variety. Click here for the review.

Darkest Fear 2: Grim Oak

The sequel to a great game, this had much more of a puzzle element than the last one which is why it's thrown in here. And there's some action in there too. Click here for the review.

Flexis

Tetris for the new generation. The freedom in controlling the bricks was breath taking. Levitate, spin them, do what you want to the bricks to match them up. Click here for the review.

Mastermind

A game where you actually have to think pretty hard to figure out the code! Starts of easy but then becomes one for the MI5 wannabees. And it's a great recreation of the classic 80s game. Click here for the review.

Mystery Castle II

Another entry where you have to really think about your moves before you make them, this one had us pulling our hair out at times, but with so many levels, you will come back for more. Click here for the review.

Paris Hilton's Diamond Quest

Gameloft's foray into the puzzle market, it's everything you would expect from them. Slick, engaging and plenty of lastability but it does look a bit like Jewel Quest... Click here for the review.
