Yep, you're not hallucinating, although if you were I would have to ask you what you'd been drinking to hallucinate while in front of a computer screen.

The blog is back and this time Gan has brought some friends. Seeing as how blogging is all the rage, we thought we'd resurrect the GON and have more of a rotational line up, so while this one is by me, Gan, the others could well be by a whole host of guest stars, too secret to name right now.

So what can I talk about? What's been happening in the year since I was last here. Well, it's a spooky coincidence that the last time I posted there were some terrible events happening in London and lo and behold we're back there again. Just as you think things are getting back to normal, news of a massive terrorist plot being foiled has surfaced. My deepest thanks go out to all the brave men and women who were involved in this enormous operation to arrest these terrorists. While no-one is safe, knowing that they are doing their jobs like this is some comfort in this crazy world. But again, let's not get carried away people and start looking suspiciously at every Asian man that you see. I'm Asian and have a goatee so I am preparing myself for the stares even though I am not Muslim (or religious in any way) and have no religious beliefs. Although I was born on the same day as Buddha and like him, I'm trying to experience every sin that the world has to offer so I can reach enlightenment. I'm about halfway there but am stuck on the chocolate cake in the afternoon one. It's really tricky to move on.

Enough doom and gloom, let me bore you all by talking about a subject that I am passionate about. Football. The new season is starting and as a Liverpool fan I am very excited about our signings and the Charity shield this Sunday but I'm a little afraid that with all the talent at the manager's disposal, he's still not sure on what his best lineup is and he still hasn't made the team gel yet. I have every confidence in Rafa but Mourinho now has Ballack and Shevhchenko so I can picture it now. Ballack with a defence splitting ball to Andrei. He beats one player and squares it to Drogba. Drogba handballs it and then falls down claiming a penalty. Andrei convers the penalty and there we have it, 1-0 to the Chelsea with another lucky lucky goal.

Even more frustrating is the fact that John Terry was named England captain ahead of Steven Gerrard. I'm as shocked as anyone. Gerrard has captained Liverpool in the toughest of cup competitions whereas Terry has captained Chelsea against West Brom. Gerrard makes a huge difference on the pitch through his own actions whereas Terry relies on other people winning the game for him. Gerrard is an exemplary role model off the pitch whereas Terry tried to shag anything that moves when his girlfriend isn't looking. Gerrard is older. Nuff said.

Speaking of nuff said, I saw the recent Superman film and as a Superman fan, I have to say I was bitterly disappointed. For those of you who care I will be presenting my critique of the entire film in my next blog in a few days.
