Best Sports Award
Welcome all sports fans. This is a category close to our hearts as all the staff here at Mobile Game Faqs love sports in general. Of course that means that there are many arguments about more than just gaming in the office! Still, the world of the sports sim has been revolutionised on the consoles and it's about time that the mobile market stepped in the same direction. After all, the fanbase for a decent sports game usually surpasses all other genres. We had some great sports titles this year and they have been pretty diverse as well. From the standard fare of football, track and field and rugby (please don't remind me about that one) to more diverse sports such as bowling and pool which are surprisingly popular with developers. Then you have the world of the sports sim which is only just beginning to take shape. It looks like there's something more to look forward to in 2006 than just the World Cup! In the end we tried to pick the best from a variety of sports games to get to our finalists and reckon we've got to the cream of the crop.
